New Year Dawning

I am recovering from a wonderful New Years Eve with DH and Grandkids until two Grandaughters and one Dear Hubby decided to get a bug - spent the last 24 hours nursing three sick people. My son and his wife were sick too as well as my two year old Grandson (we think he started it all). As I think back on the year I am glad it's over yet it flew by so fast. Just hoping for a brighter and better 2007 for me and MINE!

First Time Blogger

Today is the first day of my blog. I am a young senior Mother (2 plus 2 step) and Grandmother (12 total) who takes care of my husband who is a stroke survivor (4 yrs ago last August). I quilt for enjoyment and sanity - it relieves the stress of everyday living. Today my DH reminded me again to get my quilting room in order so I can put my Grace Machine Quilter back together again and start quilting the many quilt tops I have. I reminded him again that I still have the stitches in my hand from surgery last Tuesday for a trigger finger on my left ring finger. Being left handed it does prove to be a problem occasionally. Had the surgery so that I could sew and quilt again without constant pain.

I plan on using this blog to note everyday happenings with my life and my hobbies - namely care taking, quilting and painting.
